Her play Autistic License was named one of 2007’s Ten Best Plays by St. Paul Pioneer Press and was featured in American Theater Magazine. Autistic License was remounted for film and won “Best Educational” at the IFFF in 2010. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband Michael, her son Geordy, and the world’s strangest dog, her Chinese Crested, Birdie.

Paula
Sadler Fuhr

2022 ALUMNI

Paula Sadler Fuhr is excited to be in the Holiday Alumni show! When not wrangling teenagers at the high school where she teaches math, she can be found mothering her high schooler and college freshman (from afar), lifting heavy things at Cross Fit, or walking, talking, and solving the world’s problems with the other family members: Bryan (husband) and Captain (dog). She is a big fan of all things holidays and generally likes the snow and cold. However, she will be trading it all in for a tropical holiday this year. Grandma Barb would approve!

Peachy Galindez

2023 ALUMNI
2023 WINTER HOLIDAY SHOW ALUMNI

Peachy Galindez is a former TV news anchor, voice actor, and radio DJ from bustling Metro Manila. Now a lover of suburban Minnesota life, she has tried her best to keep the adventurous spirit of her family of five to a minimum. She’s been largely unsuccessful and has been forced by her three children to learn how to bike, hike, ski, and recently, scuba dive whilst in the middle of a tropical typhoon in the Philippines. Peachy is proud to have raised kids who don’t take no for an answer.

Mary Halvorson

2025 ALUMNI
2025 WINTER HOLIDAY SHOW ALUMNI

Mary Halvorson had her first root canal this fall at age 68. She is mother to three and grandma to four delightful people. After retiring from her role as a Lutheran pastor, she can be found gardening, hiking, quilting, reading, listening to political podcasts, enjoying friends and good food, helping others when she can, and hatching ridiculous stories with her grandkids. She loves the forest for the trees, and with her spouse has planted thousands of them. She loves new adventures. This winter she and Dan will visit their granddaughter who will study in New Zealand on a college semester abroad.

Lindsey Henke is a writer, therapist, and mom - in no particular order and sometimes chaotically juggling all three. She is the author of When Skies Are Gray: A Grieving Mother’s Lullaby, a book written in memory of her first daughter, Nora. In the winter, Lindsey enjoys cuddling with her Shih Tzu, Paddington, while her nose is in a book. In the summer, she spends her time traveling with her husband and their two tweens.

2025 WINTER HOLIDAY SHOW ALUMNI

Megan Kocher lives in South Minneapolis with her wife, their 13-year-old kid, three cats, and two snails. She works as a Science Librarian at the University of Minnesota where her responsibilities range from cookbook collection curator to expert in literature reviews for evidence-based practices in agriculture. Most of her published writing is in the methods sections of systematic literature reviews. She enjoys baking, Zumba, reading, and botanical tattoos.

Emily Nicoll

2024 ALUMNI

Emily Nicoll followed the Mississippi River until she ran out of water. Moving from Louisiana, then Ohio, then meeting a Minnesota boy her first weekend of college and following him "up north." After over two decades, she's still hoping she blends in with the natives. Emily is a badass commercial real estate leader by day, and outside of working hours you can find her zooming around the metro hauling a verifiable locker room of hockey and baseball equipment. She cheers loud, she cries over commercials, and she gives a strong bear hug.

Sarah Pelinka is a collector of stories + wayward junk and mother of two spirited kids, Poppy and Holiday - they are her heart. Married to her high school sweetheart, she and Travis remain as tight as the Girbaud jeans that first caught his attention. Each day is a gift and Sarah surely lives by this. So much so, it remains the only gift she hasn’t yet tried to return without a receipt. While Sarah finds great joy in teaching science to middle schoolers, her passion for the arts is immense. She seeks and appreciates the meaning, beauty, and laughter within every situation.

Amanda Rosas is a mother, veteran educator, and Pushcart prize-nominated poet. She is inspired daily by her three beautiful, stubborn and loving daughters. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Amanda writes to preserve the stories of her Mexican American grandmothers, mother, and all the ancestors before her who made her existence possible. Her poems have been published by the Latino Book Review, Epistle Literary Magazine, and CALYX, among others, and you can read her personal essays as an educator online at Edsurge. She lives in Golden Valley with her debonair husband, those three daughters, and two obnoxiously naughty cats. She loves a good, cheesy romance novel by Debbie Macomber or Abby Jimenez to escape life, and will forever dream of becoming a full-time poet-storyteller.

Kate
St. Vincent Vogl

2013 ALUMNI

Kate St. Vincent Vogl shares what happened when her birth mom found her through her adoptive mom’s obituary in Lost & Found: A Memoir of Mothers. She co-wrote Iron Horse Cowgirls, exploring the friendships, the betrayals, and the forging of a new sisterhood in the founding of the Women’s International Motorcycle Association. Vogl also co-wrote Lady Ref, the memoir of the first female NFL official, which USA Today called “a remarkable book.” Her fiction has received support from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Anderson Center. She teaches at The Loft Literary Center. See katevogl.com for more.

Annie Wiborg discovered the joys of storytelling by fulfilling a bucket list item in retirement. She is thrilled to be in the cast of the 2026 Listen To Your Mother Holiday show. As a storyteller, she’s performed at The Moth where she is a two-time GrandSLAM winner, The Fringe Festival via the American School of Storytelling, Truth be Told, The Herd, We Belong, Comedy Through the Chaos, and WTF: Love, Loss and Why I Swore. She loves spending time with her husband, their dog Penny, their two grown children, and five sweet grandchildren.
